GYNECOMASTIA PROCEDURE
Gynecomastia surgery removes excess skin, breast gland tissue, and repositions the nipples. The extent of surgery and incisions is dependent on the amount of excess skin, and type of breast enlargement. Fatty breast enlargement is easily corrected with liposuction. Glandular enlargement usually needs incisions to directly remove the hardened gland. This is an ambulatory procedure, where you get to go home the same day. There is surprisingly lower amount of pain than expected. There is tightness, swelling and bruising for first few days after surgery. Usually a bandage is placed and removed in 48 hours. A chest vest is worn for a total of 2 weeks.
