PRP PROCEDURE

The name PRP is derived from the components and process that is used to obtain it. After blood is drawn on a tube, it is centrifuged to separate its different components: blood cells and plasma. This plasma is rich in growth factors that assist in body’s healing process. Some of the benefits of these growth factors include angiogenesis (formation of new blood vessels), new collagen formation, and enhanced tissue regeneration. For this reasons it is used for hair regrowth and skin rejuvenation.

Blood is drawn from the person’s right or left arm. The blood is then processed in sterile test tubes through a centrifuge to isolate the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). The PRP is then transferred to sterile needles and re-injected into the desired areas. For the scalp, the injections are in the areas in need for further hair growth. For facial rejuvenation, they are typically injected in areas where the skin needs to appear more youthful.

RECOVERY AND DOWNTIME

Outpatient procedure. PRP is performed in the office procedure room. There is no need for anesthesia or sedation. There are usually several treatments required and results may take 1-2 months to show.

There is no downtime with this procedure! There is no restriction in exercises or sports.

The cost of PRP varies from patient to patient depending on the surface and areas treated. At Precision, we make sure we provide you with an accurate personalized price that will cover all costs needed for you to obtain a fantastic result.
