Chin augmentation – Men

Dr. Steven Rueda is one of the most sought after chin augmentation surgeons in Palm Beach. His attention to detail and methodical technique create beautiful and natural results. Chin augmentation is a common procedure for woman and men of all ages. A strong and well balanced chin creates an ideal facial profile. Most people also believe it adds a confident look on the face. It can also improve the contour between the face and the neck while generating a more youthful neck appearance. Chin augmentation can be accomplished by fillers, implants, and jaw bone reshaping. Although there are different options, most patients are better suited by one of the previous methods. Dr. Rueda is experienced in the three procedures and performs a careful evaluation to select the best option for your chin.

What can chin augmentation correct

Short chin

The underlying cause of a short chin is underdeveloped chin bone at the jaw. This is also known as having a “weak” chin. The most common forms of short chin are short from front to back (horizontally), or short from head to toes (vertically). Sometimes it can be a combination of both. Chin augmentation provides support to the chin to increase projection and definition.

There are three main types of chin augmentation: filler, implant, and jaw contouring. The three methods can provide improved chin aesthetics, however, some have advantages over the others. The most common forms of short chin are short distance from front to back (horizontally), or short from head to toes (vertically). RECOVERY AND DOWNTIME

This is an ambulatory procedure, where you get to go home the same day. There is tightness, swelling and bruising for first few days after surgery. If the incision is made on the skin, a bandage is worn for 5 days. If done through the mouth, a liquid diet is prescribed for 2 days, followed by a soft diet for 7 days.

Most patients generally return to work immediately after filler augmentation; and in 1 week for those with implant and bone. Exercise is not allowed until 4 weeks after the surgery.

The cost of a chin augmentation varies from patient to patient depending on the type of technique needed, anesthesia time, and surgical time. At Precision, we make sure we provide you with an accurate personalized price that will cover all costs needed for you to obtain a fantastic result.
